Women
“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence commeth my help. My help commeth from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121: 1-2
Our women’s ministry focuses on the spiritual and personal growth of the women of the church and the community. We provide one another strength when weak, encouragement when down and support when feeling alone. We strive to build on each other’s life experiences and to rely on the Word of God for answers and guidance.
Our goal is to let all women know they are loved and appreciated no matter what their circumstances might be. Join us as we go to God in prayer, study His Word and enrich our lives.
Men
"Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:10-11
Our men’s ministry is focused on providing direction and guidance to the men of the church and community. We reach out to men through prayer and God’s Word to provide a path for the everyday struggles we face as the head of the household as appointed by God. We strive to provide a blueprint on how to live according to His plan for our lives, families, jobs and spiritual growth.
We welcome all men to take part in our fishing trips, golf games and other men’s ministry activities. We encourage each other to trust God as we come together to tackle life’s ups and downs.
Educate: Through Sunday School, weekly Sunday Morning Worship, Bible Study and Community Service, our children and youth will be assisted in intellectually, morally and ethically navigating the world around them in a theological manner.
Empower: With this education, children and youth will assume their authority as God’s children and Christ followers, refusing to be consumed or oscillated by worldly constructs and societal “truths”.
Liberate: With this education and empowering, children and youth will be released of worldly ideologies through close scriptural excavation; they will hinge themselves to the Holy Spirit according to who He is in John 14:26.
Music
Christian Education

In a word – our music ministry is awesome! The choir sings songs ranging from contemporary to traditional gospel and what we call our “old 100’s.” The choir offers wonderful fellowship in a fun and uplifting environment. If you like to sing and think the music ministry might be the place for you, come and be part of our choir.

Our Christian Education ministry team reviews educational materials for our Sunday School classes, Vacation Bible School, men, women and youth ministries. The team evaluates content to ensure that it is in keeping with our beliefs and, most importantly, that it is Biblically-based.
Sunday School
Ushers and Greeters

Our Sunday School classes provide a platform for Christian fellowship and learning the basic principles of living the Christian life. It is where we build relationships through fellowship, prayer, discussion and the study of His Word. We offer classes for all ages. Join us for Sunday School where we gain insight into Jesus Christ’s life and His gift of eternal life.

Greeting people in a warm way makes them feel good about their presence in church. Help us welcome visitors and members to the House of God.
The purpose and function of the Ushers’ Ministry is to meet, greet and seat the parishioners, with a loving smile, as they enter the sanctuary. The Usher’s Ministry is an extension of God’s hands to people.
Evangelism
The purpose of The McKinney First Baptist Church Evangelism Ministry is to become a light and witness of the Gospel by proclaiming that Jesus Christ is Lord to everyone. Our purpose is to make a difference through spiritual, educational and outreach care whereby fallen or lost soul can return to God by sharing the ABC’s of Salvation.
A – ADMIT they are a sinner. Scripture: Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD
B – BELIEVE that Christ died for the redemption of sin. Scripture: Acts 16:31-And they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and though shall be saved.
C – CONFESS that Jesus Christ is Lord. Scripture: Romans 10:9-10- That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved.
Evangelism is sharing Christ’s power of the Holy Spirit and leaving the outcome to GOD.
